Yorkshire and Humber Care Association Alliance Statement
We welcome and fully support the reflections shared by ADASS in their article “Adult social care in 2025: What changed, what didn’t and what it means for the year ahead.” The past year has highlighted both the resilience and the challenges within adult social care, and we share ADASS’ commitment to ensuring that the voices of providers, people who draw on care, and the workforce remain central to national conversations.
As we move into 2026, YHCAA will continue to champion the same priorities outlined by ADASS, including:
- Advocating for urgent, sustainable funding and reform to protect services and improve outcomes.
- Strengthening collaboration between care providers, councils, and health partners to deliver integrated, person-centred care.
- Promoting workforce wellbeing and fair pay, recognising the vital role of care professionals.
- Driving co-production and engagement with people who use care and support, ensuring their experiences shape policy and practice.
We will also build on our regional initiatives to support members through shared learning, policy updates, and practical resources, ensuring that Yorkshire and Humber providers are equipped to navigate the year ahead.
Together, we stand with ADASS in calling for a care system that is properly funded, valued, and prioritised. Read the ADASS overview here Adult social care in 2025: What changed, what didn’t and what it means for the year ahead – ADASS
