The Yorkshire and Humber International Recruitment (YHIR) Partnership supported by YHCAA continues to successfully match displaced workers to Home Office Approved Sponsors – with over 430 workers now matched to vacant care roles.
This talent pool of care workers, along with available bursaries to support care provider and worker costs, is providing an effective and long-term recruitment and retention solution.
DHSC recently gave assurances to the care sector “Sponsored workers will not have to leave the UK after 22nd July 2028. International workers who are already sponsored to work legally in the sector by the end of the transition period will be able to continue to extend their stay, change sponsors and, when qualified, apply to settle”.
