Ensuring the regional voice of adult social care is heard nationally

The Yorkshire & Humber Care Association Alliance (YHCAA) has been actively making formal responses and representations to a number of key national government consultations, ensuring that the realities, challenges and expertise of adult social care providers across our region are clearly reflected in national policy discussions.

Most recently, YHCAA has submitted responses to consultations led by:

🔹 The Care Quality Commission (CQC)
🔹 The Fair Pay Commission
🔹 The Casey Commission

Our responses have focused on amplifying sector‑wide issues, including workforce pressures, funding sustainability, regulatory impact, and the long‑term viability of adult social care. Importantly, they represent the collective voice of providers across Yorkshire and Humber, bringing regional insight and lived experience into national conversations.

The Casey Commission consultation remains open, and we strongly encourage providers and members to take part before it closes later this month. The questions are predominantly narrative in format, providing an opportunity to share ideas, experiences, and solutions rather than technical responses. This is a valuable chance to directly influence thinking on the future direction of adult social care – and every response adds weight to the case for change. 👉 Please take the time to contribute if you are able Contact us | The Casey Commission

YHCAA will continue to work collaboratively to ensure that adult social care is visible, heard, and understood at national level – and we thank all members who contribute to this collective effort.
