CAA & Digital Care Hub “Building a Care Association” workshop in Birmingham

04/06/2026

YHCAA was pleased to be represented last week at the CAA & Digital Care Hub “Building a Care Association” workshop in Birmingham.
With YHCAA representation from James Creegan (WCA and KirCCA CEO) and Louise Bestwick (Bradford Care Association CEO), YHCAA leaders worked alongside Melanie Weatherley and Eddie McDowall (CAA Co-Chairs) and Daniel O’Shaughnessy (Digital Care Hub). The event brought together care association leads from across the country to share learning and shape support for developing new associations.
Through a series of roundtable discussions, the session explored how care associations can work effectively alongside local systems, strengthen provider representation, and support high-quality care at a local level.
It was particularly valuable to connect with colleagues from across the region and beyond, sharing experiences and identifying practical ways to support areas where care associations are still emerging.
We look forward to continuing this collaborative work across Yorkshire and Humber.
