YHCAA Board to Meet with CQC Deputy Director for the North

09/06/2026

Members of the Yorkshire and Humber Care Association (YHCAA) Board will meet with Victoria Marsden, Deputy Director for the North at the Care Quality Commission (CQC), on 22nd July to discuss key issues affecting adult social care providers across the region.
This important engagement provides a valuable opportunity for YHCAA to represent the collective voice of care providers, ensuring that real-time experiences, challenges, and sector concerns are heard directly at a senior level within the regulator.
During the meeting, Board members will be feeding back concerns raised by providers from across Yorkshire and the Humber. These insights reflect the day-to-day realities of delivering care services and will continue to support an open and constructive dialogue with CQC about the current regulatory landscape.
A key focus of the discussion will be the CQC’s new assessment framework. Board members will seek updates on its implementation, share feedback from providers, and explore opportunities to ensure that the framework is applied consistently and proportionately across the sector.
In addition, the meeting will explore potential opportunities for enhanced collaboration around training and support. YHCAA is keen to work with CQC to identify ways to equip providers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to successfully navigate inspections and deliver high-quality care.
This meeting reflects YHCAA’s ongoing commitment to advocating for our members, strengthening relationships with key partners, and ensuring that the voices of independent and voluntary sector providers continue to shape the future of adult social care.
Further updates will be shared with members following the meeting.
