I have been touch last year about my research at the University of Leeds looking at the changing migration and labour market landscape post Brexit/Covid .
I am now working with Migration Yorkshire and the Migrant English Support Hub to turn the research into some impactful work. We are engaging primarily employers and HR practitioners to develop a new regional platform that helps businesses navigate the changing migration and asylum regulation in the UK. See attached more infos.
This platform is meant to be co-produced with employers with the aim of providing clear guidance on how to recruit, develop and retain employees from migrant and refugee backgrounds. Our project has been endorsed by WYCA and the fair work charter.
I am aware of your interest in inclusion and diversity and also given the profile of the NHS workforce I thought you were interested in learning more about the project and to start with attending our free online Training (delivered by Migration Yorkshire) “Understanding the landscape of migrant employment”.
This will be held on the 26th of February from 12 till 130pm (QR code to register attached and link below).
